Wookey Hole is one of Somerset's most iconic attractions, home to world-famous caves sculpted over millions of years in the Mendip Hills. A ticket includes the caves tour with the brand-new cave projections experience, a 4D cinema, adventure golf, Dinosaur Valley, indoor soft play, a mirror maze and museum exhibits. Additional experiences include the Wookey Uncovered tour & tasting with cave-aged Cheddar and Somerset cider, and the Wild Wookey extreme caving adventure.
When to go
Opening calendar
Peak season (Somerset school holidays and weekends from April): first admission 9.30am, last admission 3.30pm, attractions close 5.00pm. Off-peak season (Monday-Friday outside school holidays and weekends in January, February and March apart from half term): first admission 10am, last admission 3pm, attractions close 4.30pm. Closed midweek from Monday 2nd November 2025 to 12 February 2026, and closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
