About this day out

The Formal Garden lies behind Wollaton Hall and has existed since the hall was built in 1588. It features an upper lawn with statues and a former pond, a Long Border, formal flower beds, Cedar of Lebanon trees, a Camellia House (one of the earliest cast iron glasshouses in the country), a Sensory Garden, a Doric Temple, an Old Rose Garden, a Low Water Garden, and a Rockery. The gardens are maintained by park staff supported by a team of volunteers.
