About this day out
Winkie's Castle Folk Museum is housed in a small white cottage at No. 162 on the east side of Marske High Street, Marske-by-the-Sea, about 150 metres from the roundabout towards the sea. After lengthy restoration work, the museum re-opens on Saturday 23rd May 2026. Small private parties of 10-20 people can be arranged at any time, even when the museum is officially closed.

Opening calendar
Open Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 11:00am, with last entry at 3:30pm; re-opening Saturday 23rd May 2026 after restoration work

- No parking facilities at the museum. The nearest car park is at the rear of the Ship Inn, 125m further down the High Street (temporary parking allowed by kind permission of the managers). Parking is also available on the east side of the roundabout behind the shops, with no parking charge or time limit.
