About this day out
Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve is located above Princes Risborough and provides panoramic views of the Chilterns escarpment, across the Vale of Aylesbury and on to the Wessex Downs. It is well known for the 100m high Whiteleaf Cross chalk hill figure, first recorded in 1742, and is also home to a Neolithic barrow and WW1 practice trenches. The Ridgeway National Trail, thought to be the oldest road in England, passes directly through the site.
