Torfaen Museum, established in 1978 by the Torfaen Museum Trust, is housed in the Georgian stable block that once belonged to Pontypool Park House. It tells the story of Torfaen county through the eyes of its people, with wide-ranging collections including the national showcase of Pontypool Japanware, social history items with a focus on childhood and toys, a permanent art collection, and the 19th-century Blaenavon fire engine.
