The experience

About this day out

Old Station Tintern is a visitor centre at a restored railway station with restored railway carriages offering local information and history, an N-gauge model railway, an indoor children's play area and a video presentation on the history of the Wye Valley Railway. Visitors can stroll a circular walking route through meadows and along the river with views of the Wye Valley. The site also features a tearoom, a miniature railway, an outdoor play area and a gift shop.

Dog-friendly site; dogs are welcome in the Tearooms and picnic area, must be kept on a lead, and owners are asked to clean up after their pets. Dog treats and ice cream are available.
