Springfield Park officially opened as a public park in 1905 and was formed from the grounds of 3 private houses, of which only Springfield House remains. The 14.73-hectare park has formal gardens and conservation areas, with extensive views across Walthamstow Marshes. It holds a Green Flag award, given annually to the best green spaces in the country.
