About this day out
Seven Stories is the UK's National Centre for Children's Books, a free entry venue in Newcastle's Ouseburn Valley celebrating children's stories through exhibitions, performances and workshops. It houses a national accredited collection of original manuscripts, artwork and archives, plus a specialist children's bookshop and an onsite coffee shop with views over the Ouseburn.

- Housed in a seven-storey listed building with a single lift serving every floor (priority given to those with access requirements). Accessible toilets on Level 1, baby-changing facilities on Levels 1 and 2, disabled parking in all nearby car parks, and guide dogs welcome. - Parking
- Car parking along Lime Street, with more spaces in the Arches Car Park under Byker Bridge and Ouseburn Central Car Park on Foundry Lane, NE6 1LH. Disabled parking available in all three areas. Closest metro stations are Manors and Byker, both about a 10-minute walk away.
- Dogs
- Dogs are welcome in the coffee shop and bookshop (well-behaved and on a lead); guide dogs are welcome throughout the building.
