About this day out
The Military Intelligence Museum is the only museum in the UK focused entirely on collecting, archiving and displaying the history of military intelligence across the army, navy and air force, from the Boer War to the present day. It is located on an active Ministry of Defence base, and all visits are by appointment only with at least three days' notice. Entry is free, and free guided tours led by a military veteran or museum staff member are offered to all visitors.
When to go
Opening calendar
Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 4pm. Visits by appointment only, requiring at least three days' notice. Seasonal closure: closed from 27 November 2026 and reopens on 2 March 2027.
