Lincoln Museum offers an insight into the history and archaeology of Lincolnshire with artefacts from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages and Roman, Saxon, Viking and Medieval eras, alongside the Usher Gallery's collections of ceramics, clocks, watches, silver, miniatures and art by Turner, Lowry and Grayson Perry. The museum, built in 2005, is currently closed for redevelopment, while visitors can still enjoy art, activities and events at the neighbouring Usher Gallery, which opened in 1927. A vibrant programme of temporary exhibitions is also offered.
