The experience
About this day out
Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is a Grade I listed 240-acre woodland garden estate in West Sussex that reopened in 2019 after a 10-year closure, following what is described as the largest garden restoration in England and possibly Europe. Visitors can explore tranquil lakes, seasonal displays of rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias, a famous wallaby colony, a vineyard, a Michelin-starred restaurant and Leonardslee House with boutique bedrooms. The estate also hosts a year-round events programme including open-air theatre, candlelight concerts, outdoor cinema and sculpture exhibitions.
