The experience

About this day out

Larmer Tree is a luxury wedding and events venue with accommodation and exquisite gardens on the Wiltshire Dorset border, near Salisbury and Shaftesbury. Created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880, it was the first privately owned garden in England to open to the public, and is a Grade II* listed park and garden within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The 11-acre grounds feature secret garden pathways, ancient trees, characterful historic buildings and 12 free-roaming peacocks.
