About this day out
Lancaster Park & Animal Farm is a family-run children's petting farm in Chadderton near Oldham, opened in 2011 by Benjamin Lancaster. Visitors can meet, touch and feed over 50 species of farm and domesticated animals, many of them rescues, and enjoy play areas along a scenic Nature Walk. Attractions include the Caterpillar barrel ride, Rooster Rally mini quads, Digger Island sand pit and the Pirate Shoot-out, and visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic.

Opening calendar
Term time: Friday, Saturday & Sunday only (Friday term-time opening is February–July only; Sat/Sun Sept–Dec). School holidays: every day including all bank holidays. Opening times 9:30am–4:00pm. Closed from Christmas Day to mid-February.
