The experience

About this day out

The Bunker at Hatfield Police Station is a museum and educational facility housed in a four-room underground complex beneath the former de Havilland Aircraft Company administration building, an iconic 1930s Art Deco listed building. The rooms, once used as an air raid shelter during the Second World War, now tell the story of aircraft manufacture at Hatfield and the people who work in the building today. The Bunker's main aim is to work with school pupils and youth groups to inspire interest in local history, science and technology.
