The experience

About this day out

Harewood House is an 18th-century Grade I listed country house in Yorkshire, around 20 minutes from Leeds and Harrogate, cared for by Harewood House Trust, an independent educational charity and accredited museum. The estate includes the House with its State Floor and Below Stairs, historic gardens and grounds, and an Adventure Playscape. The House was built using profits from the Transatlantic trade in enslaved people, a history the Trust acknowledges and educates visitors about.
