About this day out
Elliott's is a preserved shop in Saltash where the Elliott family lived and traded from 1902, later left to the Tamar Protection Society to run as a museum. The ground floor shop is set out as it was in the 1970s and depicts a typical local grocer of that time, offering a 'time capsule' of shopping before supermarkets and online shopping. Visitors can also see a downstairs parlour and two upstairs exhibition rooms telling the history of the Elliott family and the building through words, artefacts and pictures.
