The experience
About this day out
The Grove Community Garden works with developers and others to turn brownfield and underused land into community growing spaces in and around Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, currently caring for three gardens including Grove in the Park. Grove in the Park is a mature long-term garden at the eastern end of Harrison Park East, with about 60 planters of flowers, vegetables, herbs and soft fruits, an old canoe as centrepiece, and a small orchard nearby. Volunteers who help care for the gardens receive a share of the produce as well as social, well-being and learning opportunities, and anyone can come and pick the herbs.
