The experience

About this day out

The remains of a large and luxurious Roman villa lie in a peaceful setting near the Cotswold Way. Built about AD 250 and lived in until the 5th century, the remains include a bathhouse complex, possibly a shrine of a water spirit, and mosaic pavements preserved within a modern building. The site, which offers beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, is currently closed along with its car park until further notice.
