About this day out
For over 900 years millers have harnessed the power of the tides in Eling Creek to grind wheat into flour at Eling Tide Mill, a Grade II* listed mill built around 1785. The Eling Tide Mill Experience comprises the tide mill, surrounding riverside walks, and an adjacent visitor centre with an interactive exhibition and café. Visitors can see the tide turning the water wheel and powering the millstones, explore the history exhibition, stroll along the Eling Creek shoreline and relax in the Mill café.

- Eling Tide Mill and Discovery Room: Adults (16yrs+) £7.80, Children £4.80, Concessions & Seniors £6.00, Family tickets start at £19.00. Café and walks: free admission. Spring tickets for the Discovery Room (Wednesday-Friday only): Adults £3.25, Children £1.75, Concessions & Seniors £2.50, Family (2 adults & up to 3 children) £10.00.

- The walks are free and accessible all year round, and access to the outdoor areas of Goatee Beach and Bartley Water has been improved.
- Parking
- Free car park on the opposite side of the toll bridge, by the cemetery and church - reachable by driving over the toll bridge from the mill or by following the brown signs. Alternate parking is available by the Eling public slipway (next to the Anchor Pub).
- Dogs
- Yes - dogs are permitted inside the buildings and in the outside areas.
