About this day out

Dartmoor Zoological Society is a zoo near Plymouth in Devon, hidden on the borders of Dartmoor National Park, with 33 acres of woodland. It houses a wide range of exotic and native animals, including the biggest variety of big cats in the South West of England, from Amur Tigers through to Zebras. Annual pass holders can return as often as they like for 12 months after paying once.

Accessibility: The site is accessible, but it is on a hill and some paths are steep, plus some of the smaller paths are gravelled. Carers receive free entry when accompanying a registered disabled person (ID required). Contact 01752 837645 for further information.
Parking: On-site car park available (dogs must not be left in cars in the car park).
Dogs: Dogs are not allowed on site or to be left in cars in the car park. Assistance dogs are permitted subject to conditions (vaccination requirements, no entry to the walkthrough exhibit, no contact with zoo animals, and advance notice for experiences).
