About this day out
Crinkle Crankle Community Garden in Wheathampstead is a community space enclosed by rare Victorian crinkle-crankle walls, the only publicly accessible ones in Hertfordshire. The Parish Council was given the land, part of the former Old Rectory garden in King Edward Place, and plans to develop it as an attractive space in which to relax and enjoy the view of St Helen's Church. The Council's vision is to restore the garden to its nineteenth-century glory as a tranquil, accessible, educational and wildlife-friendly space.
