The experience
About this day out
The Countryside Museum at Bicton Park features a huge collection of exhibits mirroring changes to village life, farming, horticulture, social history and rural crafts during the early 20th century. Alongside sits the R. A Lister Co. display of portable petrol and diesel engines, and two cinemas show films on agricultural machinery and the company's history. The collection was founded by NDG (Noel) James, Land Agent to Lord Clinton, who gathered tools, household items, farm machinery and rural trade items to document more than a century of rural life.
