Bruton Museum tells the story of the Saxon town of Bruton in Somerset and what came after its medieval heyday as an important ecclesiastical centre. Highlights include the history of Bruton Abbey, a special collection of artworks by WWII German refugee Ernst Müller-Blensdorf, and the writing desk used by American writer John Steinbeck, who lived in Bruton in 1959. The museum also shows contemporary artwork in its regularly changing Casespace display.
