About this day out

Browns Gallery was established in Tain in 1993 by Scottish artist Gordon Brown, originally alongside a framing and restoration workshop that continues to operate today. A second gallery opened in Inverness in August 2022, and the gallery hosts an impressive programme of exhibitions throughout the year across both locations. It is home to renowned names in Scottish art, including John Byrne, John Bellany, Neil MacPherson and Allan MacDonald.
