Visitors can explore historic gardens and peaceful ruins and attend events such as the Battle of Hastings Weekend, held on the spot where King Harold and Duke William fought in 1066. Membership offers unlimited days out across over 400 sites for the entire year with free kids entry.

- Free entry for English Heritage members (unlimited access to over 400 sites for a year, free kids entry, and members can bring up to 6 children for free). Booking online in advance saves up to 15%; tickets are priced as peak, standard and off-peak. Under-5s go free; children aged 5-17 need child tickets; concessions for students with NUS cards and those aged 65+. Free entry for refugees granted status or leave to remain (with evidence, no pre-booking). No booking fee; reduced 5% VAT applied to many tickets for visits between 25 June and 1 September 2026.
