About this day out
Ardbeg Distillery is the home of the ultimate Islay single malt Scotch whisky, with a Visitor Centre offering a selection of drams, DIY tastings and cocktails plus a wide range of whiskies and merchandise. Distillery tours and guided tastings can be booked, and it is advisable to book in advance. Visitors can also stay at Ardbeg House, which has 12 unique bedrooms, a Signature Restaurant and an Islay Bar.

April '26: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm; May '26 - September '26: seven days, 9:30am to 5:00pm; October '26: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm; November '26 - April '27: Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:00pm. Closed 19 September 2026 and two weeks over Christmas and New Year (dates TBC).
