The experience
About this day out
Airborne Assault traces the history of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces from its inception to the present day, including operations in Afghanistan. The story is told using imaginative displays of uniform and equipment, including medals, weapons and one of many 'ParaDogs' dropped into the battlefield, with historical and contemporary film footage and original sound recordings. The museum is situated within the Airspace Hangar of the Imperial War Museum Duxford, Europe's premier aviation museum.

October to March: 10am - 4pm (last admission 3pm). March to October: 10am - 6pm (last admission 5pm). Closed 24, 25 and 26 December.
